Winifred, better known to her friends as Freddie, has always loved to dance and perform. She used to get dressed up with her sister and friends and make up different choreographies as a child. She started taking ballet and tap classes at six and eventually transitioned to color guard in high school in college. As a Junior at James Madison University she discovered swing dance and fell in love with Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Blues, as well as vintage fashion.

She has traveled around the country competing and performing in both partnered dance and solo jazz competitions since 2011.

She’s been admiring the Canaries from afar since 2018 and is delighted to finally be a member now that she’s relocated to Kansas City. Her biggest dance influences are Sharon Davis and Laura Glaess.
