Daryl Thomas began dancing in jazz, tap, and ballet classes when they were two years old. Later, they added jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and acrobats in which they competed in for the National Acrobats Competition for 5 years. At age ten they joined the dance competition team and expanded their classes into lyrical, modern, contemporary, open, and production.

They joined the acrobat competition team the following year and continued their competitive career with three solos under their belt until they were thirteen and switched to attending a dojo. Daryl participated in Karate, Aikido, Judo, Jujutsu, kickboxing and boxing, kendo, and Kobudo. As a core member of their dojo's competition team, they competed and won nationally in sparring, kata forms, weapon forms, and extreme martial arts. Daryl obtained their second-degree black belt at age sixteen and taught the weekly kendo and extreme martial arts classes, while also participating on their high-school dance team for two years.

They finished their credits a semester early senior year and spent the "gap year" diving into the local DIY community of artists and modeling. With a continued love for dancing, live music, and especially jazz, Daryl sought to continue their dream to dance and struck gold with the Kansas City Canaries and performing local burlesque. Currently, they are obtaining their associate in arts and will transfer in the fall to earn a major in business and minor in marketing.
