Amanda Bernice brings her infectious and inspirational attitude to everything that she does.  She has worked as a professional dancer and choreographer in Kansas City and across the country, specializing in Chorus Girls or Chorines. She also specializes in jazz roots dances like the Lindy Hop and Charleston.

Amanda believes it is vital to respect and learn the history and culture of the dances she performs and teaches. Jazz root dances are Black dances, and she is aware that she is a guest in their home. Her first aim is to respect the art form by learning and sharing its history and culture.

In her classes and rehearsals, Amanda's goal is to develop dancers and performers as individuals. By fostering dance education and advancing cultural and racial inclusivity and providing dancers with the resources they need to succeed and push themselves beyond their limits.

Along with her work as a teacher, choreographer, and performer, Amanda founded 627 Stomp, the first non-profit organization in Kansas City devoted to promoting swing dance education and the Kansas City Canaries Chorus Line. Amanda has since performed on a number of stages, including Union Station KC, Crown Uptown Theatre, The Midland Theater, Kauffman of the Performing Arts, and many more.
